Wellness Policy 

The Federal Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2004 requires all school districts to have a Wellness Policy in place as of June 2006. The Murrieta Valley Unified School Districts wellness policy addresses Nutrition Guidelines for Foods Available in our Schools.

Food Sales on Campus

In California any food or beverage sold to students on campus, from midnight to 30 minutes after the end of the school day and outside of the federally reimbursable meal program are subject to specific state and federal rules. Determining which foods are approved to serve in schools can be complicated.
